I just wish I could run a business like how this was going to be run, cost to much to produce electricity so the only way these things get built is to subsidize the electric.so come april if there isn't one built on anyones local river the chances are it will never get built.at least now I can moan about the normal stuff, dog walkers, boats, etc

they are still trying to go ahead with it,,next week is the cut off for objection to it,they have the 1 .2 million for it(that's going to take a few years to get back).have to find out who put the legal challenge that stopped it in it's tracks.

its going to change the flow of the water in these weirs for sure, looked at the plans they have a fish guard going in but I reckon that's just to stop all the trees and tree stumps that come down from wrecking it,i reckon it wont be long before where ever there is a weir one of these will be going in over the next 5 to 10 years

I did write about this before but cant find the thread, well its been a while.it was last year planning was approved for it.a lot of people are still against it,i haven't really took much notice until I went to a swim Saturday when I walked past where its going.well I thought if you know they are there you weren't allowed to interfere with them, but its ok is it to cover a old tree in plasits bags to try and scare the bats away that live in the tree? I also notice a while ago at another weir that planning is being sort for another one
