the esox are the cheaper version of their piking rods. the pikers are proper piking rods, nice fittings, build quality and lovely powerful casting blanks. highly recommended for the money.

If you can find some the Fox Warrior deadbait rods in 3.25lb are very good but they are discontinued. I just wish I had also bought some in 2.75lb too!

Was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between the Drennan Esox 12" Power Pikeflex rod and the newer Drennan Esox piker bait rod. Difference in type of blanks, (size) rod guides, casting potential etc.
Is the bigger price a real benefit, or are they similar rod's?

Last years used some 2,25lb. Armalite's Mk3, caught some pike with them but weren't powerful enough to cast bigger bait's with >40g leads.

Would now upgrade to some decent pike rod's, and prefer some from Drennan. Only downside is almost no shop's in The Netherlands sell the Drennan brand so need to order them from UK. Therefore these questions.

Thanks
