It's late I know but for the kind of money you are talking about the drennan esox pike range or the greys pike range may take your fancy. As for reels I use both Shimano and Daiwa's their baitrunner types mediums are fine.
You will have to Contact Dave Lumb for advice don't forget Tony Kay another pike rod builder of repute.
Good Luck.

Hi all new to the forum, Iím after a 12ft 3lb deadbait rod budget of £140, Iíll be fishing close in to 60yards, was looking at the free spirit piker tamer, Drennan piker , Daiwa Whisker and Greys prowla, a few mates have recommended the P1 Dave lumb but would like to get the rod this week for Christmas holidays and donít think thatís a possibility, also after a reel budget of £120 again looking at Daiwa emblem Br25a or Baitrunner XT-BLC, has anyone got this kit or could recommend anything else??
Many thanks.
Burnsie.
